The overall objective of the programme is to decrease violations of human rights and international humanitarian law (IHL) in Palestine and Israel.

2015 - The overall objective of the programme is to decrease violations of human rights (HR) and international humanitarian law (IHL) in Palestine and Israel. Based on the 2014 results matrix, the following has been reported as results of the Sida support:1. Improved access and freedom of movement for civilians (girls, boys, women and men), at the monitored locations. Improved access to land for farmers and herders, in areas where EAPPI provide protective presence, thus, reduced threat of displacement.Decreased number of violent acts and harassment towards the people accompanied; girls, boys, women and men, in particular in areas close to settlements and closed military zones, checkpoints and agricultural gates where EAPPI provides targeted protective presence.Increased awareness of HR and IHL among local people, applicable in their daily lives. 2. EAPPI has cooperated with several Israeli and Palestinian human rights organisations that advocate for peace, human rights and protection of civilians under IHL.3. EAPPI has been contributing to the Humanitarian Bulletin, the monthly update on the humanitarian situation in Palestine by UNOCHA and disseminates its reports within the communities, also EAPPI works with OCHA, OHCHR, ICRC.In 2014 EAPPI was again central in the coordination of the protective presence during the olive harvest together with OCHA and the UN Protection Cluster.
