Integrated practical training by having students design and produce the furniture for the resource center as part of their Masters training class.\n\n\n\nTeacher Capacity Building-Strengthening the competencies of TVET instructors through targeted training and professional development programs.\n\nSignificant progress was made in strengthening TVET teacher capacity to enhance technical education delivery at Voinjama Multilateral High School (VMHS). Of the twelve (12) required TVET teachers, nine (9) newly recruited instructors are currently undergoing specialized training in various skills abroad. The status of the training is as follows:\n\nFour (4) teachers have completed their training and returned. Five (5) teachers remain in training. Three (3) additional teachers have been recruited and are preparing for training.\n\nAdditionally, existing TVET teachers at VMHS continue to receive both technical and pedagogical training to enhance their instructional capabilities. Furthermore, the TVET Center for Professional Training, Research, and Innovation (TCPTRI), based at the Booker Washington Institute (BWI), became fully operational during the year, providing a vital platform for continuous professional development.\n\nThe period also recorded the development and adoption of seven Level 4 curricula for five trades at VMHS, with two additional curricula adopted for the electrical trade. Establishment of a Centre for TVET Teacher Certification (TCPTRI), finalized in 2023. Formal TVET Teacher Pedagogical Training launched in May and September 2023, with the first two cohorts including three male participants from VMHS out of 58 total trainees (six female participants).\n\n\n\nPrivate Sector Engagement:\n\nTo ensure TVET education aligns with market needs, the program actively engaged industry stakeholders, private sector subject matter experts in the demand-driven curriculum development process. Additionally:\n\nSmall business owners were provided with awareness on the technical training potential of VMHS. The program facilitated interactions between the school administration and local businesses, fostering partnerships that strengthen practical training opportunities for students.\n\nInclusive Education:\n\nPromoting equal access to TVET by implementing measures that support the participation of women, vulnerable youth, and persons with disabilities. Through these efforts, the program is strengthening TVET's role in workforce development, ensuring its relevance, accessibility, and sustainability.\n\nThe program continued to promote inclusivity within the TVET sector by implementing several key initiatives:\n\nA first-round inclusive education training was provided to TVET teachers and staff at VMHS, equipping them with skills to better support diverse student needs. The project collaborated with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to raise awareness in communities and schools, encouraging greater female participation in TVET, including individuals with disabilities. Awareness campaigns were conducted in partnership with CSOs to address Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), ensuring a safer learning environment for all students.\n\nIncreased Enrollment\n\nA notable and unexpected impact of the program has been a significant increase in student enrollment at VMHS. Since the programs inception, enrollment has grown by nearly 90%, as students anticipate gaining access to improved TVET opportunities.\n\nBefore the project began, VMHS had approximately 920 students enrolled. As of the current reporting period, enrollment has surged to 1,750 studentsa testament to the growing interest in TVET education and the programs impact on student
