These are listed in bullets below.\n\n- SwEPA conducted a factfinding mission to Tanzania which supported the production of a needs assessment that: o provided input to the overall\nmethodology, work plan and measures suggested related to the assumed implementation of the main project to be implemented by VPO and NEMC. This\ninformed the direction of the first strategic work plan of the overall project managed by VPO and NEMC.\n\n- SwEPA evaluated and provided input to the Terms of Reference (ToR) produced by the VPO for developing a web-based system for processing applications.\n\n- SwEPA provided overarching comments and recommendations to a plan produced by the VPO for development of an E-Waste Management system.\n\n- SwEPA provided overarching comments and recommendations to a ToR produced by the VPO for preparing an Environmental Management Action Plan (EMAP) for Dodoma City.\n\n- SwEPA provided brief response and comments to the proposed ToR for a National Waste Management Strategy. \n\n-  SwEPA contributed to evaluating selected parts of the Final Assessment Report produced by the VPO, that describes identified measures of what is needed to achieve implementation in various thematic sections of environmental legislation.\n\nThis support created a clearer understanding of the gaps that exist to reach a higher degree of implementation in these areas with the support of a Swedish\nperspective.\n\nThe project contributes to Sidas multifaceted support for partner countries to strengthen institutional capacity at the national, subnational, and local levels for implementing the Paris Agreement.  Although from and throughout the initial phase it has been difficult for SEPA to provide the support they have agreed to provide the government of Tanzania (NEMC\u002FVPO) since the GoT has not drawn on their expertise.\n\nSwEPA opted to not extend the present agreement after dialogue with Sida. The previous extension of agreement was made with a clear understanding that any success in implementing the project would rely heavily on changed dynamics on the side of the collaborating partners in Tanzania. SwEPA sought to reignite the collaboration with the Tanzanian partners prior to and immediately after the extension of agreement.\n\nWithin the report there are some key lessons learned stated which are important to take into account in any future collaboration.
