These efforts strengthened youth-government collaboration and positioned young people as key stakeholders in shaping ambitious and equitable NDCs.\n\n- Capacity Building for Inclusive Climate Policy: Over 600 youth were trained through initiatives such as the Youth Climate Action Lab, Regional Youth Parliament, and Shakers Fellowship. YECAP exceeded its annual target by facilitating youth participation in 15 climate policy consultations, ensuring diverse youth voices were reflected in climate governance.\n\n- Local Policy Influence: Youth-committees played a crucial role in reviewing and providing feedback on local climate policies, such as the Natural Resources Protection Act and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act. Their contributions led to the amendment of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act in Madi Municipality, with revisions currently underway in Tilottama Municipality in Nepal. \n\n- Strengthening Youth-Led CSOs: YECAP trained 42 CSO representatives and supported 30 organizations in designing gender-inclusive interventions. Through partnerships like the one with ARROW, youth contributed to global policy dialogues, including the Summit of the Future.\n\n- Youth Entrepreneurship for Climate Solutions: Through the Springboard Climate Programme and the Youth Agri-Innovation Challenge, over 280 youth entrepreneurs were equipped with skills to develop climate-smart, gender-inclusive solutions, particularly in vulnerable regions like the Hindu Kush Himalaya.\n\n- Indigenous Youth Representation: YECAP supported two Indigenous youth leaders from Nepal and Bangladesh to participate in LCIPP events at COP29 in Baku. They also joined the Youth Climate Action Lab to prepare for their engagement, highlighting the importance of Indigenous knowledge in climate adaptation.\n\n- Youth Participation in Climate Forums: Over 3,300 youth from 35 countries engaged in national, regional, and global forums (e.g., APYDF, CED8, LCOYs, RCOY-APAC). Youth contributed to policy discussions, delivered statements, and connected with UN and government officials, strengthening their role in climate diplomacy and governance.\n\n- Local Conferences of Youth (LCOYs): LCOYs in 11 countries enabled youth to co-develop National Youth Statements, influencing national climate policies and COP29 advocacy.
