March), for the first time, since the launch of the school.\n\nWithin the Press Clubs Annual Gala, 2023 edition, awards were provided to journalists and newsrooms to recognize their efforts in promoting quality journalism.   \n\nIJCs free legal aid service has continued to be a reliable tool for journalists facing various legal problems in their professional activities. They continued to receive requests from media workers.\n\nUnder objective 2 following progress was observed (To contribute to improving the key media laws and holding officials accountable for their implementation):\n\nDuring 2023, the Parliamentary Joint Working Group (JWG), composed of media experts, including the IJCs Program Manager of the Media Policies, Legislation and Research Program, continued its efforts to improve the legal framework governing media activity.\n\nIJC team actively monitored the implementation of the newly enacted Advertising Law and contributed to designing a guide for Broadcasting Council on administrative practices and public consultation will follow in 2024. \n\nUnder objective 3 following progress was observed (To build the financial, legal and organizational infrastructure for MSJ to become an independent legal entity): \n\nMSJ conducted a marketing campaign and offered special promotions and discounts to attract new students, implemented targeted email marketing tactics to re-engage MSJs previous beneficiaries an introduce them to its new study programs.\n\nAiming at ensuring organizational development of MSJ, the school managed to adapt, develop and initiate 10 internal policies, such as: salary and human resources policy; monitoring and evaluation policy, financial and fundraising strategy, procurement policy, anti-corruption and gender policy, accounting policies and conflict of interest policy.
