Among these were a checklist for assessing carbon project proposals, an A-Z guide for developing an Agriculture Forestry and Land Use (AFOLU) carbon project, and reports on benefit-sharing mechanisms and experiences with carbon crediting standards. Additionally, a series of informational videos have been developed to expand knowledge sharing beyond Sida partners. A comprehensive mapping document has been developed, which highlights the nature of over 80 carbon-related inquiries received over the past two years for support.\n\n(ii) As part of the support to Sida partners based on the requests through embassies, the carbon expert desk engaged in providing expert support to embassies through technical feedback\u002Fsupport in meetings, document reviews upon request by embassies, and technical support for various initiatives embassies are assessing for financial support. Key projects supported by the carbon expert desk include;  the Rwanda COMBIO project, where Vi-Skogen assessed feasibility and alignment with national climate frameworks, and the Cleantech programme, where guidance was provided on alternative land use strategies. Other collaborations included advisory support to Northern Rangeland Trust, a technical review of Sidas carbon market strategy, and discussions with organizations such as Biocarbon, GIZ, and Upya Company on standards, methodology, and digital data collection. \n\n(iii) As part of strengthening the knowledge on carbon markets, the expert desk developed various communication outputs including: - Dedicated webpage to introduce Sida, partners, and stakeholders to the Expert Desk, outlining its function, purpose, and contact information as well as the process of getting the required support from the desk. The expert desk has developed communication materials based on past inquiries and Sidas needs including videos, booklets, and briefs. As a result, Vi-Skogen has publicly shared the informational materials produced during the project period, ensuring Sida staff and partners had easy access via the website. SIWI and Vi-Skogen are working on joint activities and exploring opportunities to scale up  the help desks, focusing on water-smart forest and landscape restoration (W-FLR) and carbon offset primarily. This was an unexpected result of the project.
