By 2030, the world will end poverty and hunger, realise human rights for all, achieve gender equality and ensure the protection of the planet and its natural resources.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Poor countries face major challenges in eradicating poverty and hunger. At the same time, richer countries must make efforts to achieve sustainable consumption and to limit climate change.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The Global Goals consist of 17 objectives. The objectives are monitored and evaluated each year through the United Nations High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF). The countries themselves choose whether and how they want to explain how they will meet their objectives. The Global Goals are collectively known under the name Agenda 2030.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch4>\u003Cstrong>The Addis Ababa Action Agenda\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fh4>\n\u003Cp>In 2015, around 7,000 delegates from around the world gathered in Ethiopia’s capital to attend the United Nations Conference on Financing for Development. This resulted in the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, which sets out how the Global Goals are to be financed. In order to achieve these goals by 2030, everyone must be involved in taking responsibility – states, institutions, industry, the international community and civil society. States must be better able to collect taxes from their citizens, sustainable trade must increase, debt relief must be implemented and science and new innovations must be involved and contribute.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch4>\u003Cstrong>The Paris Climate Agreement\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fh4>\n\u003Cp>At the end of 2015, 195 countries adopted the first global, legally binding climate agreement in history. The agreement is an action plan on how the world will succeed in slowing down global warming to below 2 degrees. In addition, countries have promised to gradually increase their ambitions and lower the temperature even more. Every five years, there will be a reconciliation to see whether the countries’ common ambition is sufficient to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch4>\u003Cstrong>T\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003Cstrong>he Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction\u003Cem>\u003Cbr \u002F>\n\u003C\u002Fem>\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fh4>\n\u003Cp>The fourth agreement arrived at by world leaders is the Sendai Framework For Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030.
