UNICEF will also develop a framework to enable continuous training and capacity strengthening of social workers, including educational programmes, to contribute to sustainability over time. \n\nIn Moldova, the project is expected to contribute to 45,000 children and 60,000 caregivers who have fled Ukraine or are otherwise in a vulnerable situation (e.g. children living in institutions) to receive support. It will also contribute to strengthening the capacity of 2,000 social workers. \n\nUNICEF will, similar to the work in Ukraine, map existing capacities and needs in Moldova, train staff, and contribute to developing and scaling up family-based care. Focus will also be on developing mobile services, including to strengthen the capacity to reach children with disabilities. UNICEF will also work to support young people in independent supervised living arrangements.
