I Palestina och Libanon har verksamheten inom detta avvecklats på grund av den akuta och eskalerande humanitära kris som råder sedan oktober 2023. Programmet fortsätter dock på Västbanken och i Libanon.\n\nResultatrapportering:\n\nInsatsen beräknas nå och involvera ca 235 000 personer under hela programmet.\n\nEfter tre års verksamhet rapporterar SRK sammanfattat att programmet bidragit till förbättrad information, stöd och service från myndigheter i de lokalsamhällen där programmet implementeras. Detta har effekten av att öka samhällenas förmåga att förbereda sig samt bygga en stärkt resiliens, inflytande och kapacitet att agera mot kontextuella faktorer som påverkar lokalsamhällen negativt (empowerment). Det innebär även ett stärkt ansvarstagande och åtagande från skyldighetsbärare (accountability).\n\nNedan följer ett axplock av resultat från 2024 års rapport:\n\nTrots extremt utmanande förhållanden i Palestina, med pågående krig i Gaza och försämrad säkerhet på Västbanken, genomförde PRCS aktiviteter i fem samhällen i Bethlehem-guvernementet. 34 971 personer (6 993 flickor, 6 993 pojkar, 9 654 kvinnor, 11 331 män) deltog i aktiviteterna. Marah Rabah och Beit Fajjar uppvisade förbättringar inom alla fyra prioriterade områden: riskhantering, social sammanhållning, naturresurshantering och samhörighet. I Palestina fungerade Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction Committees som effektiva påverkansplattformar. I Beit Fajjar ledde samarbete med kommunen till förbättrad avfallshantering. Lokala kommittéer genomförde insatser som trädplantering och förbättring av grönytor för att minska översvämningsrisker och förbättra miljön.\n\nI Libanon visade PRCS-L:s modell för samhällsengagemang sin anpassningsförmåga trots politiska spänningar och eskalerande konflikt. Volontärer fortsatte mobilisera och stötta samhällen. PRCS-L nådde 24 567 personer (8 634 kvinnor, 5 933 män) genom informationsinsatser om hälsofrämjande och sjukdomsförebyggande. Uppföljningsenkäter visade att 85 % av deltagarna hade ökad kunskap, med observerade förbättringar i hygienpraxis såsom regelbunden handtvätt. PRCS-L rapporterade minskade infektionssjukdomsutbrott och stärkta förebyggande hälsoåtgärder. I Libanon prioriterades avfallshantering i Ain el Helwe och Naher el Bared. Planerade möten med UNRWA ställdes in p.g.a. kriget, men samverkan ledde till sociala aktiviteter i skolor för ökad sammanhållning.\n\nI DRK slutförde DRCRC samhällsledda åtgärder i fyra stadsdelar i Kinshasa. 48 453 personer (inklusive 8 477 män, 10 744 kvinnor, 14 847 flickor och 14 385 pojkar) deltog i kapacitetsstärkande aktiviteter. De långvariga medvetandekampanjerna, hembesöken och saneringsinsatserna ledde till observerade beteendeförändringar, såsom antagande av handtvättspraxis och användning av myggnät, avfallssortering och plastinsamling, samt samhällsledd rensning av rännor och plantering av djuprotade gräs för att förebygga översvämningar. Dessa metoder exemplifierar en förändring i sociala normer där hygien, sanitet och miljömedvetenhet blivit en del av vardagen. Hushåll som inte var direkt inriktade på projektet kopierade översvämningsförebyggande åtgärder, vilket påvisar spridning av kunskap och samhällsacceptans. Utvärdering visar att samhällsmedlemmar har stärkt sina egna möjligheter att tillgodose sina behov genom att minska riskerna de står inför, särskilt ungdomar och kvinnor som stärkts som volontärer och kommittémedlemmar. Detta var främst resultatet av inrättandet av det civila samhällets Community Disaster Response Team (CDRT), bestående av 20 kvinnor och 25 män. Teammedlemmarna deltog i utbildningar i påverkansarbete, psykosocialt stöd och miljöförvaltning. CDRT stödde samhällen och genomförde kampanjer riktade till dem såväl som till lokala myndigheter om sanitet och förebyggande av regnvattenöversvämningar. Det har noterats att under de kraftiga översvämningarna i Kinshasa 2025 drabbades de projektområden som genomförde rensningskampanjer av dräneringssystemen mindre allvarligt, eftersom vattnet kunde rinna undan bättre efter rensningarna. Många kommittémedlemmar och volontärer uppges ses som förändringsledare i sina grannskap. Denna egenmakt har bidragit till ett underifrån-och-upp-ledarskap som stärker lokalt driven resiliens.\n\nI Sydsudan deltog 59 815 personer (37 258 män, 22 557 kvinnor, 5 758 flickor  varav 12 kvinnor med funktionsnedsättning  och 15 658 pojkar  varav 18 med funktionsnedsättning) i aktiviteter ledda av CDRT inom hygien, katastrofriskreducering och yrkesutbildning. Resultaten inkluderade att hygienmedvetenheten ökade från 11 % till 48 % och detta bedöms ha bidragit till att förhindra ett kolerautbrott i området. I Sydsudan ledde dialog med lokala myndigheter till reparation av 19 handpumpar som återställde tillgången till rent vatten för ca 9 500 personer och ökade tillgången från 54 % till 73 % vilket utgör en omvälvande förändring i vardagslivet där kvinnor och barn inte längre behöver gå långa sträckor för att hämta vatten i Lake Yirol, som dessutom är förorenat. Denna förändring förbättrade inte bara hälsoutfallen utan även lokalt ledd utveckling, då lokala vattenpumpsmekaniker utbildades för att upprätthålla funktionaliteten och säkerställa hållbarheten. Dessutom kombinerades dessa resiliensinsatser med fredsskapande åtgärder såsom skolklubbar och inkluderande idrottsevenemang, vilka också bidrog till en påtaglig förbättring av social sammanhållning och samhörighet.\n\nSSRC stödde också samhällsmedlemmar i att stärka sin förståelse av och förmåga att identifiera fysiska, psykologiska, ekonomiska och sociala konsekvenser av SGBV. För att stärka förståelsen av SGBV höll utbildade volontärer informationsmöten som hjälpte samhällsmedlemmar att identifiera dess konsekvenser. Interaktiva aktiviteter uppmuntrade till öppen dialog och reflektion, vilket säkerställde att både män och kvinnor deltog meningsfullt. Utvärderingen visar att kunskapen om SGBV:s konsekvenser ökade mest bland kvinnor, från nivåer mycket lägre än männens vid baslinjen, till samma nivåer vid slutmätningen. Den övergripande medvetenheten ökade från 13 % till 37 % mellan baslinjen och slutmätningen. Samhällsmedlemmar kunde också bättre identifiera former av stress och de bredare konsekvenserna av SGBV för välbefinnande och försörjning.\n\nI Bangladesh förbättrades hälsobeteenden markant: 95 % av invånarna tvättade händerna och fler kvinnor använde återanvändbara, miljövänliga mensskydd, och uppges i större uträckning öppet diskutera menstruationshygien, vilket markerar en betydande förändring i att bryta stigma. Dessa förbättringar drevs av konsekventa medvetandekampanjer och en växande kultur av öppenhet och inkludering kring känsliga hälsofrågor. 17 000 personer (40 % män och 60 % kvinnor) deltog i insatser för miljömedvetenhet och katastrofriskreducering. Kunskapen om miljöfrågor ökade från 17 % vid baslinjen till 87 % vid slutmätningen. Lokala resiliensfonder, aktiverade på åtta platser, gjorde det möjligt för lokala aktörer att finansiera praktiska riskreducerande åtgärder, såsom att höja socklar, reparera vägar och installera vägtrummor för vattenavrinning, och därigenom skydda sina.
