The programme supports direct provision of MR, PAC, family planning, and safe motherhood services, alongside capacity strengthening of healthcare providers and service delivery systems. The objective is also to promote community awareness, youth engagement, and private sector involvement to increase demand for and access to SRHR. In addition, the programme generates evidence to inform policy dialogue and strengthen national SRHR systems and sustainability. By providing SRHR services the project improves women’s autonomy, health, and access to essential reproductive health services and thus contributing to gender equality.\n\nOur agreement partner is Reproductive Health Services, Training and Education Programme (RHSTEP) who is implementing the project in collaboration with the Bangladesh Association for Prevention of Septic Abortion (BAPSA). Both organisations are national non-governmental organisations with extensive experience in providing safe MR services, managing abortion-related complications, and preventing unsafe abortion. Their collaboration enables expanded geographic coverage, strengthened technical capacity, and increased access for underserved populations, including women and adolescents.\n\nThe contribution is provided as project-type assistance to national civil society organisations in Bangladesh.
