In several districts, MJF partners reported increased engagement from citizens who\nhad previously felt excluded from governance processes.\n\nProgress and Results:\n\nOutcome 1 (institutional Delivery): Collaboration with local service providers and government institutions has been deepened to improve the inclusiveness, accessibility, and responsiveness of public services, particularly for women and girls in climate-vulnerable areas. An example is that participatory planning processes including a greater percentage of women resulted in localized action plans that are now guiding improvements in service delivery.\n\nOutcome 2 (Improved Resilience): The project advanced community-driven climate adaptation with a strong focus on womens leadership and participation. E.g; action plans to enhance climate resilience developed through participatory processes led to community members being benefited (a large percentage of them women).\n\nOutcome 3 (Empowerment of Women and Girls): It has been reported that there has been an improvement legal awareness and protection for women and girls through orientation sessions on legal rights, child marriage, and domestic violence. Several participants reported using this knowledge to intervene in early marriage cases or seek support for domestic abuse. Activities related to policy influence has facilitated the integration of gender perspectives into local climate policies and programming. As a result, several district-level actors committed to incorporating gender-responsive strategies into upcoming climate action plans.\n\nOutcome 4 (Sexual and Gender based Violence): Contribution to changing social norms at the household level. E.g; through activities across diverse cultural settings, the project has fostered open conversations around early marriage, education for girls, and shared caregiving roles.These sessions contributed to more supportive environments for adolescent girls within families.\n\nOutcome 5 (Reduced Poverty): Through their engagement in economic empowerment initiatives, women have been able to access interest-free funds to embark on climate-resilient income-generating activities (IGAs) and participate in cooperative savings schemes. As a result, over 70% of participants reported increased household income and improved capacity to manage climate-induced financial shocks. Strategic livelihood optionssuch as\nhomestead gardening, goat rearing, and tailoring were selected to enhance sustainability, reduce time poverty, and strengthen womens decision-making autonomy. These efforts have not only improved financial stability but also fostered long-term resilience in vulnerable
