WEDO har en nyckelroll inom det globala klimat- och miljöarbetet och är sekretariat åt \"Women's Major Group\" (WMG) som är den officiella gruppen för kvinnors deltagande i miljö och jämställdhet inom SDG-processen. \n\nÅr 2025 fokuserade WEDO på:\n- Feministisk styrning: att påverka regler, indikatorer och institutionella processer som avgör vem som deltar, vems kunskap som räknas och hur implementeringen följs upp.\n-  Omsorg, rättvisa och omfördelning: att främja feministiska ramverk som utmanar snabb utvinning av naturresurser till klimatåtgärder och säkerställer att resurser når dem som driver lösningar.\n- Rörelseledd policyförändring: att organisera kollektivt feministiskt inflytande, särskilt från det globala syd, så att deltagande omsätts i makt och resultat.\n\nExempel på resultat under 2025:\n\n- Under Global Week of Action, var WEDO som leder arbetsgruppen Women and Gender Constituency, WGC, värd för över 80 möten i över 40 länder.\n\n- WEDO stödde resor för 15 deltagare till COP30 (inklusive från Brasilien, Zimbabwe, Mexiko, Trinidad och Tobago, Egypten, Guatemala, Colombia, Chile, Argentina och USA) och ackrediterade 30 deltagare till COP30; resor för fyra deltagare till UNFCCC:s halvårsmöte i Bonn, SB62 (från Trinidad och Tobago, Guatemala, Brasilien och Colombia) samt resor för 12 latinamerikanska aktivister till ett förmöte till COP i Brasilia för att förbättra förhandlingsfärdigheter, politisk förhandling och regional strategi.\n\n- Var värd för 2 medieutbildningar med konkreta riktlinjer för WGC:s medieengagemang före COP.\n\n- Kvällsskolor vid COP utbildade 67 delegater från 39 länder, inklusive 29 personer från låg- och medelinkomstländer.\n\n- Uppnådde integrationen av 10 av 11 WGC-prioriteringar i Beléms handlingsplan för jämställdhet genom dess överenskomna aktiviteter och resultat.\n\n- Under COP30 förverkligades åratal av feministiskt opinionsarbete av arbetsgruppen för rättvis omställning genom att omsorgsarbete och informellt arbete för första gången inkluderades i ett COP-beslut, som centrala för att uppnå en rättvis omställning.\n\n- Det globala målet om jämställd klimatanpassning antogs med könsuppdelad statistik samt jämställdhetsindikatorer integrerade under vissa mål.\n\n-  WEDO har samarbetat med IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) för att stärka tillgång och användning av data kring jämställdhet och miljö. Samarbetet \"Gender and Environment Data Alliance\" GEDA fungerar som en plattform för olika aktörer som vill använda sig av statistik kring miljö och jämställdhet. Satsningen på att stärka GEDA resulterade i tre nya partner samt etablerande av en styrkommitté för förbättrad datainsamling och analys av jämställdhetsmiljöfrågor.\n\n-  WEDOs Gender Climate Tracker App, förbättrades under året och ger aktuell information och länkar till resurser för uppföljning av integrationen av jämställdhet i nationellt och internationellt klimatarbete. Syftet är att öka civilsamhällets medvetenhet och kunskap och att hålla länder ansvariga samt facilitera dialog och policyarbete. \n\nWEDO vidareförmedlade under året 10 000- 15 000 USD\u002Finsats totalt ca 2,1 MSEK, till 19 till insatser i Bangladesh, Filippinerna, Indonesien, Nepal, Pakistan, Argentina, Brasilien, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypten, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria och Zimbabwe. Insatserna genomfördes av kvinnorättsorganisationer med bland annat utbildningar om miljö- och klimatfrågor, klimaträttvisa, biodiversitet, landrättigheter, solenergi, dokumentation av effekter av gruvnäring, lokal riskhantering och produktionskedjor för lokala grödor.\n\nUnder hela avtalsperioden 2022-2025 vidareförmedlade WEDO 20,5 % av Sidas
