The main agricultural input package reached approximately 9,000 beneficiary households, including 5,000 in Kasaï Central and 4,000 in Kasaï, with one Kasaï-specific report indicating 4,032 direct beneficiary households.\n\nUnder Outcome 1, institutional strengthening of farmers organizations continued. In Kasaï Central, 44 unions of farmers organizations and 9 agricultural cooperatives underwent structuring and legalization processes. In Kasaï, 53 cooperatives and 6 unions of cooperatives received legal and management support. Additionally, 130 cooperative and union members, including 58 women, were trained in governance, administrative and financial management, and OHADA cooperative regulations. The programme also established 200 Dimitra Clubs across both provinces, supporting community dialogue, mediation, access to land and water, erosion control, infrastructure rehabilitation and sanitation initiatives.\n\nUnder Outcome 2, climate-resilient and nutrition-sensitive agricultural production was strengthened. Ten farmers organizations received 400 kg of cowpea R1 seed and 180 kg of groundnut R1 seed, resulting in the production of 2,269 kg of R2 seed (1,939 kg of cowpea and 330 kg of groundnut). Across both provinces, 7,520 households cultivated 3,551.8 hectares during Season 2025A, producing 3,196.2 metric tons of maize and 705.2 metric tons of cowpea, for a total production of 3,901.4 metric tons. This represents an average production of approximately 518 kg per cultivating household. However, only 84 percent of supported households cultivated fields due to climatic challenges, including the premature end of rainfall.\n\nNutrition-sensitive interventions targeted 500 households in Tshikaji with vegetable seeds, tools and small livestock. Support included inputs for tomato, red onion, carrot, Chinese cabbage, eggplant and okra production, 40 MUAC tapes for community health workers, and the distribution of 1,000 rabbits to 500 households, alongside demonstration hutches in Nkonko 1 and Saints Martyrs. Behaviour change communication was reinforced through 40 radio programmes, 140 radio spots and 6 micro-programmes broadcast over 20 weeks.\n\nUnder Outcome 3, livelihood diversification and financial inclusion activities expanded. A total of 1,000 literacy learners (876 women and 124 men) were enrolled across 26 literacy centres in Luiza and Tshikaji. Furthermore, 1,500 participants (1,200 in Luiza and 300 in Tshikaji) received training on income-generating activities, while bread-making and soap-making kits were distributed to support economic reintegration and womens empowerment. Across both provinces, 200 Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) were established and functioning. Market-support infrastructure included the installation of 20 mixed maize-cassava mills, 570 small grinders and 285 manual maize shellers. In addition, 20 management committee members were trained in the operation, maintenance and economic management of these
