Key results per outcome area\n\ni) Outcome 1 (biodiversity conservation): The project secured 24 ecologically critical pilot sites covering about 955 hectares (including about 68 ha of wetlands) through integration into formal land-use plans, strengthening long-term conservation and ecological resilience.\n\nii) Outcome 2 (forest management): Community-based systems were significantly strengthened, with 640 ha of natural forest brought under participatory forest management (PFM) and formally managed by local cooperatives, improving sustainable governance and stewardship.  \n\niii) Outcome 3 (gender equality and livelihoods): The project enabled close to 2,360 livelihood beneficiaries (56% women) to engage in diversified, market-oriented income activities, demonstrating strong gender inclusion and economic impact.\n\niv) Outcome 4 (institutional capacity and coordination): Multi-stakeholder coordination was enhanced through seven steering committee meetings involving at least 1,080 participants (about 210 women), strengthening collaboration, accountability, and implementation capacity across sectors.\n\nB. Changes of practice taking hold\n\nKeeping in mind that CSMFL is more of a direct-delivery project (not an MSD program or similar), the following changes of practice can be reported as taking shape by the end of the 3rd year period.\n\ni) Integrated Land-use Planning (ILUP) institutionalized at local government and community levels;\n\nii) Participatory Forest Management (PFM) formalized as a recognized forest governance system;\n\niii) Gender-responsive leadership normalized in both government and communities;\n\niv) Shift toward climate-smart, diversified, market-oriented
