communities will have increased capacity to manage, mitigate and recover from shocks AND are able to contribute to more inclusive and peaceful communities with enhanced      resilience and well-being.\"\n\nEach of the three partners of the consortium is implementing similar, although locally adapted, interventions along the triple HDP nexus approach in the woredas that are allotted to them where they are already active with humanitarian interventions in 2023 (DRC 3 in Somali (Dollo Ado, Filtu) and Afar (Berhale); IRC 5 in Afar (Abala), Amhara (Sekota, Zequala) and Oromia (Kersa, (HHs) with crop\u002Fseed support, 30 HHs with poultry support, Farm tools, CSA Seeds: Maize Melkasa 02, Haricot Bean Awash 01, Maize BH 661, Sorghum Melkam variety Used Red Ross system for distribution in 2 woredas\n•Dairy Goat distribution: 390 HHs (5 per HH)\n•Organized 30 farmers in 4 vermicompost associations, 4 shelters and provided training for them\n•Climate smart agriculture (CSA) and Nitrition sensitive agriculture (NSA) training for 245 experts and 124 Lead and fellow farmers\n•Established 6 Farmer training centre (FTCs) for CSA and NSA demonstrations sites, Drip irrigation installed (2), Water Tanker installation, Solar pump, Seed support\n•Reached 94 HHs for Cash for Work activity (Stone bund, Watershed, Natural Resource management (NRM) Practices)\n•Reached 30 HHs Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNRM) practices (trained)\n•Established 15 Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR) committees\n•Disaster risk reduction (DRR) training of trainers (ToT) training provided for 26 government and program staffs\n•DRR cascade training provided for 215 (99 female) members •Village saving and loan association (VSLA) and Learn To Earn (L2E) ToT training for Consortium technical team\n•VSLA and L2E training for 38 (9 Female) for stakeholders at woreda level\n•Established 74 Village Saving and Loan Associations (25 female members per VSLA) 70% have started saving.
