I rapporten återgavs flera exempel på konkreta steg de tagit inom sin ämbetsroll som folkvald tack vare utbildningen. \n\nAv de kommunpolitiker som deltog i utbildningen så angav 89% att de hade väldigt lite kunskap om sin roll som lokalvald (local councillor). Vid utbildningens slut angav istället 86% att de nu hade en god förståelse av kommunstyret och av sin roll som lokalpolitiker.\n\nDeltagares bättre förståelse manifesterade sig tex i hur en deltagare som insåg att en av sin stads exekutiva kommittéer hade sats upp utan att följa kravet att minst en kvinna ska finnas med. Han påtalade och krävde att regeln skulle efterlevas och minst en kvinna inkluderas. \n\nBudgetprocessen, uppföljning, debatt och hur man får igenom en motion var nyckelområden som deltagarna identifierade att de nu efter utbildningen förstod bättre och och kunde agera mer effektivt i sin roll inom. En ledamot berättade om hur hen nu vågade använda sin röst och inflytande vg fördelningen av medel och lyckades bidra till arresteringen av en person som försökte få mutor för att dela ut medel. En annan beskriver hur hen förbättrat sina arbetsrelationer både med andra ledamöter och med teknisk personal. En (ungdoms)ledamot menar att hens förbättrade kunskapsnivå och debattförmåga möjliggjorde hens skapande av en ungdomsarbetsgrupp bland ledamöter. Och hur hen fått igenom två nya stadgar (gällande matsäkerhet respektive miljö).\n\nDeltagarna lärde sig och fick också en bättre förståelse för olika lokala policyfrågor, tex skogsskövling vilket ledde ledamöter till att engagera sig för och ta initiative till återplantering av träd.\n\nUtbildande kvinnliga och\u002Feller unga deltagare delade erfarenheter och kunde stödja varandra. I flera kommuner har kvinno- och ungdomsarbetsgrupper sats upp av ledamöter som genomgått utbildningen, KIC har vid tillfällen bidragit med teknisk support. \n\nLokala samarbetspartner inom PYPA (Program for Young Politicians in Africa) har ökat sina anställda och styrelses kapacitet och flera nyckeldokument och policies har genomgått omarbetningar. \n\nFlera programalumni går vidare till nyckelposter inom sina partier. Exempel på detta är i Benin där en alumni fick en plats i partiets genderkommission. Dessutom fick hon huvudansvar för partiets administration. Tillsammans med andra unga aktivister arbetar hon aktivt för progressiva reformer för att stärka unga inom partistrukturen. \n\nEn utvärderingen som gjordes kom fram till att stärkt politisk tolerans och social koherens bland unga politiker från olika politiska partier är ett viktigt resultat inom programmet.
