Its video platform, Cinemata, continued amplifying underrepresented voices and advancing advocacy through impact storytelling.\n\nCinemata continued to strengthen its role as a free, open source, and secure social issue film platform in the Asia-Pacific, safeguarding more than 6,600 advocacy films and ensuring critical voices on human rights and environmental justice reach audiences without fear of suppression. Cinemata also grew its regional footprint by forging 27 partnerships across nine countries, namely the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and India. These collaborations revolved around screening and advocacy initiatives, playlist co-curation, archiving projects, academic exchanges, and a multi-country hybrid film festival entitled Cinemata Currents 2025.\n\nIn collaboration with the Association for Progressive Communications (Sweden's partner from Global HR\u002FDemo strategy), three DRAPAC national meetings were completed in Bangladesh, Thailand and India, which brought together about 220 digital rights actors at national level during the previous reporting period. This brought the DRAPAC movement closer to each country and fostered a stronger presence and sense of community in the region while also building momentum for DRAPAC25. Replicating good practices from last years meet-ups in Malaysia and the Philippines, DRAPAC national meetings were co-created with local civil society organisations to ground the meeting agenda, participants, and discussions on national priorities while still connecting to the spirit of the regional movement.\n\nIn August 2024, EngageMedia convened the second Digital Rights Asia-Pacific Assembly (DRAPAC24) in Taipei, Taiwan, as an official side event of the Asia-Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF). In this two-day gathering, almost 300 changemakers from 150 organisations explored themes of regionality (human rights in the Asia-Pacific), youth engagement, and open and secure technology across 46 sessions, exhibits, and other collaborative activities (from over 150 session proposals). The fellowship programme also supported 38 activists (from 110 applications) in attending DRAPAC24 and APrIGF, many of whom are young people and engaging in internet governance for the first time.\n\nParticipants described the sessions as insightful and highly relevant, with many meeting and networking with activists from various fields to tackle shared digital rights challenges and foster a sense of transnational solidarity. Participants also expressed appreciation for the safe and inclusive environment, particularly for safe opportunities for young people and other less visible voices to participate in digital rights discourses. Post-event survey results confirmed these testimonials with 93% of respondents rating DRAPAC24 as either excellent or very good, 97% saying they would recommend DRAPAC24 to their professional network,
