Swedens support through UN Women was critical throughout the participatory formulation process. Over 1,500 women and girls from all 32 departments participated in 21 consultative events in 2023. In 2024, technical and financial assistance focused on developing the Plans indicators, targets, and budget allocations. The national launch brought together 200 women from across the country with highlevel representatives, including the Vice President and several ministers.\n-The SwedenUN Women cooperation strengthened womens participation in the peace process between the Colombian Government and ELN. UN Women supported the national Womens Sector of the Peace Participation Committee in articulating gender priorities for the negotiation process participation model. This included convening a national sectoral meeting (150 women leaders and 66 women in prison who connected virtually) and facilitating 10 regional dialogue spaces. UN Women also supported consolidation of strategic alliances and dialogue spaces to strengthen womens roles in the peace process, including backing networks of women negotiators and advocating for gender integration in the Ceasefire Monitoring and Verification Mechanism.Sweden contributed to advancing monitoring and implementation of genderrelated clauses in the Final Peace Accord. \nIn the area of public governance with a gender equality approach: \n- Swedens support enabled UN Women to promote inclusive justice by backing civil society effortsespecially the Racial Justice Collectiveto propose reforms and legislative advocacy on gender and AfroColombian parity in the judiciary, and to support Congress in conducting its second Gender- Sensitive Parliament Self-Assessment.  \n- In 2024, Swedens support enabled UN Women to advance womens political participation by continuing the Más mujeres, mas democracia and En Paridad Ställningstagande till rapport Statement on report Contribution ID: 16453 3 (5) training programs for over 1,500 women, and by providing technical assistance to the National Civil Registry to produce official data on womens participation in the 2023 elections. \n- In 2024, Swedens support enabled UN Women to strengthen the Colombian States institutional capacities, particularly the Vice Ministry for Women under theMinistry of Equality. This included support for preparing key international reports (Beijing and CEDAW), consolidating the Ministrys Gender Observatory, and working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the formulation of a Feminist Foreign Policy and a Gender Policy and GBV Protocol.  Swedens non-earmarked support to UN Women helped strengthen the gender perspectives in the public sector. Through technical assistance, the Ministry of Equality accelerated implementation of the Gender Budget Tracker (Trazador Presupuestal de Género) and submitted its report to Congress. In 2024, there was a 40.94% increase in visible investments for women in the territories. Additionally, 25 new local development plans (20242027) included gender components and innovative financing mechanisms. \n-In partnership with Sweden, UN Women expanded engagement with the private sector. By 2024, 160 companies had committed to the Womens Empowerment Principles (WEPs) which is used as a tool to strengthen womens' economic empowerment.
