Cooperation with employers and government agencies improved, although site access and enforcement remain weak. Recent reforms and ILO ratifications provide momentum for institutionalizing occupational health and safety.\n\nIndustriALL:\n-Monitored implementation of the ILO Roadmap for Bangladesh,\n-Strengthened transparency and accountability through shadow reporting and press conferences, including the production and submission of a shadow report to ILO in March 2025, challenging government claims,\n-Exposed inflated inspection figures, limited union registration, and lack of consultation in anti-union discrimination training,\n-Facilitated structured data sharing and joint analysis among affiliates,\n-Enhanced coordination with UNI and BWI, creating a unified trade union voice, and\n-Improved solidarity across ready-made garment, shipbreaking, and energy sectors via IndustriALL Bangladesh Council.\nShadow reporting has been a breakthrough tool, boosting transparency and credibility. Affiliates now coordinate more effectively, producing evidence-based recommendations and engaging in policy dialogue with greater confidence.\n\nUNI Global Union (Bangladesh Liaison Council):\n-Conducted capacity-building and organizing activities across ICTS, commerce, postal, and finance sectors,\n-Formed UNITES Bangladesh (ICTS sector union)\n-Established cross-sectoral anti-harassment and youth committees,\n-Introduced climate justice and Just Transition into union agendas\n-Strengthened grassroots engagement, especially among informal shop workers,\n-Fostered solidarity through Joint Organizing Forums and sector-specific trainings,\n-Built collaboration with diverse stakeholders including NGOs, legal aid providers, academics, and activists.\nUNI expanded union participation into new sectors with strong emphasis on inclusivity and grassroots organizing. Youth, women, and informal workers gained representation, while climate justice broadened union agendas.
