These are all international nongovernmental organisations that are well established in Palestine. They have experience both of emergency assistance, as well as resilience work, each one with their own focus. This makes them well positioned for smooth transition along the humanitarian, resilience, and development nexus, when circumstances allow.\nThe main focus of the consortium is humanitarian assistance to people in Area C who are subject to violence, forced removals and setllement expansion. The\nConsortium is funded by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) and 13  donor states. The consortium operate within three\ndifferent pillars 1) Emergency Releif 2) Resilience Building and 3) Adovacy. The emergency releif is by far the largest pillar. The proposed project is meant to\nprovide further resources into the Resilience Building pillar (2), to ensure that at risk communities have access to basic services, economic opportunities and\nlegal aid. Strengthening their resilience and providing basic development through a Nexus approach is critical for people to be able to live on their lands.\nWhile this specific project aims to reduce the need for emergency assistance in the long run, it is designed to operate in conjunction with and be supported by\nthe WBPC's emergency response mechanisms (pillar I) ensuring a comprehensive approach to both resilience and crisis response. The project\nseeks to prevent the forcible transfer of Palestinians from isolated Area C areas, by increasing their resilience and independence. This will be done through\nstrengthening community infrastructure and access to basic services, empowering households with sustainable income resources and advocy for\nhuman rights. The West Bank Protection Consortium's integrated protection approach is designed to counter the multifaceted drivers that contribute to the\nrisk of forcible transfer of Palestinian communities.
