Due to Sweden's phasing out, the FORÇA project was not realised under the Sida support. \n\n- Analytical work in late 2025 focused on in depth studies using IOF2022 data while laying the groundwork for future poverty analysis based on IOF2025.\n\n- Macroeconomic work in 2025 focused on maintaining key data sets and launching the first CEEG Economic Bulletin to strengthen accessible analysis of economic trends, while planned training activities were cancelled due to time and resource constraints. In parallel, discussions on macroeconomic tools were slowed by institutional changes, though targeted technical support was provided on issues such as mobile money taxation and short term GDP forecasting.\n\nOutput 2) Training and capacity development\n\nIn 2025, short term training under IGM primarily focused on aligning and developing the training curriculum with the Phase III research agenda, resulting in limited delivery of trainings such as Microsoft Office and an initial course on poverty measurement, while most other planned trainings were postponed to 2026 to ensure coherence with revised programme priorities.\n\nThe National Resident Advisor (NRA) scheme was developed as a key innovation to strengthen sustainability and create career pathways for Mozambican researchers, with extensive preparatory work undertaken in 2025 including recruitment processes in collaboration with key partners. However, due to the need to reprioritise Phase III activities within a reduced time frame and budget, the scheme was ultimately discontinued before recruitment could be finalised.\n\nThe IGM traineeship scheme aims to build analytical capacity among young Mozambican economists, but the planned recruitment of a new cohort in 2025 was deferred to 2026 due to the need to reprioritise Phase III activities and budget constraints.\n\nThe program initially included a long term training component aimed at building national expertise through scholarships for advanced studies. However, in 2025 this element was discontinued due to a shortened implementation period and high costs that no longer aligned with the revised budget. An exception was made for one participant whose studies had already begun prior to the revision and are expected to conclude in 2026. No new long term training commitments were initiated during the reporting period.\n\nIn 2025, technical assistance continued to support key partner institutions by strengthening the use of existing analytical tools, data sets, and methodologies, particularly in macroeconomic planning and poverty analysis. The work built on capacities developed in earlier phases, contributing to policy processes and ensuring continuity despite program adjustments. Support focused on improving data use and methodological approaches rather than introducing new large-scale systems, while also reinforcing research capacity and ongoing data collection efforts within academic and government institutions.\n\nOutput 3 Policy engagement and communications\n\nThe focus was on launching Phase III, promoting strategic outreach and collaboration, and establishing a foundation for continued research uptake and evidence based policy dialogue.\n\nDuring the reporting period, several research outputs were produced, including two working papers and one peer reviewed journal article, covering topics such as political economy, social protection, and post disaster support. In addition, a new flagship economic bulletin was launched with two editions, strengthening policy relevant macroeconomic analysis and information access. While a blog post was also published, the production of shorter communication products was limited due to the transition to a new programme phase and prioritisation of major activities.\n\nOnline communication and dissemination remained a central pillar of IGMs outreach strategy during the second half of 2025, supporting the visibility, accessibility, and uptake of programme outputs among national and international audiences. The IGM programme continued to actively use its website, social media channels (Facebook, X, and LinkedIn), and the IGM Update newsletter to disseminate analytical outputs and event-related information.\n\nOutreach activities during the reporting period focused on launching Phase III and promoting its analytical priorities through high level events and stakeholder engagement, while also aligning partners through a planning retreat. Efforts were concentrated on flagship events that positioned the programme within national policy discussions and strengthened its role as a bridge between research and policy. \n\nThe CEEG seminar series continued to provide a platform for academic exchange at the Faculty of Economics, with five seminars held during the period covering a range of policy relevant research topics and supporting a
