Nedan exemplifieras detta genom regionala programmet för Östafrika: \n\nRegionen som står inför utdragna och multipla kriser relaterade till klimatförändringar och konflikter, exempelvis osäker livsmedelsförsörjning, klimatförändringar, ojämlikhet mellan könen och konflikter, är nära sammankopplade och gränsöverskridande. Programmet beskrivs ha en unik möjlighet, genom en regional strategi och planering, att länka samman lokala och regionala aktörer för att hitta lösningar, bygga innovation och dela lärdomar och bästa praxis.
