The core-team of the FTA programme was transferred to the FAM - foundation.\n\nSida considers that the Innovate Moldova team has managed the transition well and been able to continue the operations in line with the Swedish reform cooperation strategy for inclusive economic development in Moldova.\n\nInnovate Moldova has established a monitoring and evaluation system with a detailed set of indicators to measure performance against the set objectives. During the eight month in 2025, 81 of the indicators were met or exceeded targets, 28 were not met and 25 were transferred to 2026.\n\nInnovate Moldova has set ambitious targets when it comes to resource mobilisation \u002F leverage of funds. During 2025, for every 1 SEK invested by the project 6.5 SEK was mobilised (out of 1,5 M Euro invested by the project; 5,1 M Euro from private sector, 1,6 M Euro from Government and 3,2 M Euro from other donors).\n\nAs this was the first eight months of implementation it is too early yet for any outcome results and the results are at this stage mostly on activity and output levels. Some examples:\n\nObjective 1: Building a stronger innovation system\n\nThe Innovate Moldova team signed collaboration agreement with Moldovan partners that together form the Moldova innovation and entrepreneurship eco- system: 12 innovation centres, 6 business associations, 3 universities, Moldova Virtual Innovation and Technology Park, and MoUs with Ministry of Economy and Research, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education and Moldovan Investment Agency.\n\nIn terms of EU-alignment: Launched an ESG reporting toolkit for SMEs (ESG = Environmental and Social Governance); Dialogue led by the textile manufacturers branch organisation (APIUS) on prepare an integrated platform for core-business activities (ERP) and Eco-design.\n\nObjective 2: Developing a future-ready, inclusive workforce\n\nAgreements and MoUs were signed to continue som of the flagships programme initiated during FTA, such as the: Future Classroom Labs engaging approximately 20,000 students and 200 teachers across the country; Future Professions 600 students enrolled and 200 graduated in 2025 in animation, game-design and multimedia at four universities and 10 youth led startups supported through the Future Creatives initiative; Cybersecurity training at Cybercor of 100 public agency staff and 300 university students out of which 30% women, through the GLIA women Impact Hub, 500 girls (students) and 100 women professionals took part in the financial-literacy programme.\n\nObjective 3: Strengthening private-sector competitiveness and export readiness\n\nThrough various initiatives about 100 SMEs received support to improve their ability to trade with EU and access to global markets: through the BRIDGE reimbursable grant scheme (joint collaboration with Moldova Investment Agency, UMAEF and EU4Innovation): 30 start-ups graduated from the business accelerator Technovator and Startup Moldova; APIUS Smart factory initiative supported 8 apparel manufacturers  to obtain ISO 9001\u002F14001\u002F45001 certification; AIM (the association of SMEs) mentored 50 SMEs on e-commerce and market place logistics.
