The exercise registered more that 5.8 million new voters, including 3,1 women, and removed over 2,1 million deceased, duplicate and outdated records. These improvements contributed to greater accuracy, credibility and inclusiveness of the voter roll. It also reduced risks of malpractice, narrowed gender gaps in voter registration and increased public confidence in the electoral process. Most of this activities took place before Sweden´s funds were active, however Sweden´s allocation played a part in UNDPs larger funding allocation puzzle that allowed for collective of donor funds to be spent strategically across the year. The program\n\nUNDP and the program has been particularly successful in the deliverance of the so called \"hard components\". The procurement and delivery of election day materials, indelible ink and stamp pads, contributed to strengthening BECs logistical readiness and institutional capacity to deliver the elections. The BEC leadership has showed appreciation to UNDP for this.\n\nResults in relation to inclusive electoral participation are principally output deliverance, with some effect on changes of behaviours but limited real change for voters. Several activities were held to enhance the inclusion of persons with disabilities (PwD). Whereas it is notable that the visibility and knowledge about  challenges for PwDs increased, and BEC demonstrated commitment to advancing these priorities, implementation was constrained by resource considerations and BECs limited authority over polling stations infrastructure. In addition, the absence of disability disaggregated data within the voter registry limited the ability to accurately assess and target accessibility needs. A major challenge has been evidence generation and analytics around women´s electoral behaviour -  it has been impossible for the program to access election turnout date with a gender desegregation, this despite that this data should exist.\n\nUN Women women provided technical assistance to embed gender sensitivity within electoral governance systems. A Women´s Manifesto Initiative took form, through collaborations with feminist activists, political\u002F media actors and gender equality advocates. The consultations and the manifesto provided a consolidated advocacy agenda to inform future policy dialogue and reform efforts aimed at strengthening women´s political participation and representation.\n\nOut-of-country voting (OCV) has been lifted as a key success of BEC in the national parliamentary election of 2026. The program supported preparatory multi-stakeholder workshops and technical engagement involving political parties, BEC and other electoral stakeholders to build consensus around feasible OCV modalities. UNDP supported specifically through dialogue facilitation and the development of technical reports and electoral reform recommendations on OCV implementation.\n\nAnother result, related to Access, is the increased integration of marginalized communities perspectives into electoral planning and policy dialogue on inclusive electoral governance. UNDP organised consultations in Bandarbans, including discussions with indigenous communities in Empu Para, which provided BEC with direct insights into the logistical and geographic barriers affecting electoral participation in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. These engagements contributed to BEC considerations to increase the number of polling stations in remote areas, recognizing longer travel times and voting-related challenges faced by indigenous communities.\n\nThrough training of Digital Monitors on the UNDP supported eMonitor digital platform, the capacity of BEC was strengthened to address the growing risks of online misinformation,
