It was established in 2015 when the expansion of the program made it no longer feasible to carry out projects sustainably from Sweden. H2H Tanzania is headquartered in Dar es Salaam and shares the same vision and mission as H2H Sweden. Since 2017, H2H Tanzania has also operated in Uganda.\n\nThe overall objective of the project is to enable university students to achieve economic self-sufficiency through qualified employment and entrepreneurial skills, while fostering a community of ethically grounded change agents who work towards a democratic, equal, inclusive, and prosperous society.\n\nThe expected outcomes of the project are that 1,500 students will:\n\n- Obtain qualified employment or become entrepreneurs, thereby contributing to job creation.\n\n- Apply value-based self-leadership, resulting in increased self-esteem and self-confidence.\n\n- Promote gender equality in the workplace, within the family, and across society at large.\n\n- Serve as role models who inspire their local communities and harness their ability to drive change.\n\n- Participate in a network of change agents who support one another in personal and professional development and advance positive social progress.\n\nThe project is expected to generate qualified employment among young people who, through their income, can support not only themselves but also others. The initiative is further anticipated to create a multiplier effect that reduces poverty among students, their families, and their communities—an outcome already demonstrated by H2H’s previous activities.
