Strengthened capacity for climate adaptation and environmental sustainability\nFemale fish traders will be trained in climate-smart agriculture and environmental protection to promote sustainability, strengthen their ability to adapt to climate change, reduce lake degradation, and contribute to improved environmental health.\n\n4. Increased awareness of health and risk reduction\nCommunities living along Lake Victoria will gain greater awareness of health risks associated with exploitative sexual relationships, such as the risk of HIV\u002FAIDS\n\n5. Institutional capacity building for gender equality and accountability\nLocal organizations will strengthen their capacity to promote gender equality and engage in rights-based advocacy to hold local institutions accountable.\n\n6. Enhanced project capacity and governance\nIDF will receive support to design and monitor effective projects with clear goals, strategies, and frameworks for follow-up.\n\n7. Promotion of democratic dialogue and social inclusion\nThe project will strengthen dialogue within fishing communities on gender equality, human rights, and social cohesion through structured discussions and inclusive platforms.\n\n8. Institutionalization of policies against exploitation in the fisheries sector\nPublic institutions and other key actors within the Lake Basin Economic Block will adopt and implement policies that prevent exploitative relationships in the fisheries sector.\n\n9.
