HaV har utvecklat WIO Symphony tillsammans med partners från 10 länder, och internationell expertis och därmed tillgängliggjort en metod för inhämtning, spridning, och analys av rumsliga marina data täckande 50 ekologiska komponenter och 50 miljöbelastningar från mänsklig verksamhet. Detta har inneburit teknisk träning av ett tjugotal tjänstemän, installering av dataanalysprogram på Nairobikonventionens server, samt upprättande av en teknisk studio på Komorerna med syfte att underlätta just tillgången till öppna rumsliga data och dess användning. WIO Symphony har fått ett stort genomslag och verktyget med dess öppna data kan idag användas av alla havsplaneringsmyndigheter i regionen.\n\nEn viktig uppdatering för 2024 är att Nairobikonventionen på sin COP i augusti 2024 beslutat att anslutna länder ska använda WIO Symphony i för  miljökonsekvensbedömningar i sin havsplanering\n\nHaVs Engagemang i Fisheries Transparency Initiative\n\nHaV har genom SwAM Ocean bidragit till att ta fram analysverktyget \"Taking stock tool\". Det är ett verktyg som används för att bedöma hur väl ett land uppfyller FiTIs tolv transparenskrav, utifrån vad som publiceras på landets officiella hemsidor. Verktyget lanserades 2021 och applicerades då i Peru, Ecuador, Bangladesh, Mexiko och Komorerna.
