MDIF report the following results from the MMF:\n\n• MMF clients grow their revenues while working with MDIF: 15% is the median increase of revenues recorded from the baseline figure at first investment.\n• MMF clients grow their reach while working with MDIF: 29% is the median increase of reach recorded by MMF clients from the baseline figure at first investment.\n• MMF clients impact their communities with their journalism and information-sharing: 100% of surveyed MMF clients reported having contributed to a real-world change last year.\n\nFurther, MDIFs Media Advisory Service (MAS) continued to address the various challenges faced by today's media by providing tailored support services and interventions in response to specific issues, including those triggered by rapidly changing media landscapes, audience information and consumption habits as well as increases in political adversities and an increase in content manipulation. Throughout its operations, MAS has provided capacity building and workshops to a total of 101 media companies, which included 47 investment portfolio clients of MDIF (of those, 18 recipients of MMF loans), as well as media participating in MDIF special programs, candidates for financing and other media companies\u002F partners around the world.\nSince the start of the fund, MDIF invested US$9.9 million in 26 media companies across 20 countries, enabling independent media outlets to continue operating and serving their communities. In 2025, supported media organisations generated a combined US$16 million in revenue, with a median revenue increase of 13% from the first year of investment, indicating improved business performance. They also reached an estimated 14 million people, with a median audience increase of 44% over the course of support. Together, these organisations employed 568 staff members, of whom 43% were women, demonstrating continued support for employment and gender inclusion in the independent media sector. All MMF clients reported producing journalism that generated impact in their communities, while 100% of partners rated MDIF's financing and advisory support as valuable or very valuable.\n\nTechnical assistance also delivered strong expected results. Media Advisory Services supported 82 media organisations during 2025 and organised 16 group learning events, complementing financial support with business development and organisational strengthening. The specialised accelerator programmes also produced stronger-than-expected results. Amplify Asia supported 22 media organisations that achieved an average revenue growth of 540% and audience growth of 192% in 2025, substantially exceeding the average growth seen across the wider portfolio. Similarly, Amplify Kenya supported four media organisations that achieved 76% comparable revenue growth and 32% audience growth. These results suggest that combining financing with intensive business development support can generate particularly strong improvements in media sustainability and
