Overview
Air traffic control is financed entirely by charges paid by the airlines for air traffic control services. The ongoing military attacks on Ukraine mean that no air traffic is allowes Ukrainian or Moldovan airspace. In order to ensure a functioning air traffic control when the war has ended, a fund has been established within the intergovernmental body Eurocontrol with the aim of supporting air traffic control in Ukraine and Moldova.
