Provides funding and monitors aid activities.
Partner data and mediation
Sida’s aid is always implemented in cooperation with other actors. Sida’s role is to provide financial resources and develop expertise, while partner organizations manage and implement the projects. Sida requires all partners (at all levels) to make information about their own activities funded by Sida publicly available online. This allows for better tracking of how aid funds are used at the next level.
On openaid.se, partner data can be accessed in two ways:
- Go through a Sida intervention. When a partner organization has received funding from a specific intervention, you can find related projects under the “Partners Reported Data” tab.
- Use the search function based on partner data. Search for a reporting organization to see which activities are being implemented.
Explore partners own reporting, including the onward transfer of aid funds.
More about Openaid
Openaid.se is managed by Sida
Openaid.se is managed by Sida, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. However, it is not only information from Sida that is reported on Openaid. Statistics and payments from Sida, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other agencies handling funds in the Swedish Government’s Expenditure Area 7 ’International Aid’ form the basis for the data presented on Openaid. Sida has developed Openaid on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within the framework of the transparency guarantee
Data management
Sida collects data about projects from the agencies and ministries that control funds within the Swedish Government's Expenditure Area 7: International Aid. Sida collects data in different formats and at different times. Sidas's own information is collected through the internal systems used by the agency in its daily work. The data then goes through a process before it is distributed.
Report suspicions of corruption
If you suspect or have knowledge of corruption, irregularities, or misconduct within Sida's operations, please report it to Sida. These include, for example, bribery, fraud, embezzlement, conflicts of interest, nepotism, discrimination, sexual abuse, exploitation, sexual harassment, and other forms of harassment.
