This is a global thematic non-earmarked contribution for support to UNICEF's global work on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and with climate, energy, environment and disaster risk reduction (CEED) in line with the UNICEF Sustainability and Climate change Action Plan (SCAP). The contribution delivers towards the objectives of Strategy for Sweden’s global development cooperation in sustainable social development 2018-2022, extended to June 2024, and Strategy for Sweden's global development cooperation in the areas of environment, climate and biodiversity 2022-2026. The programme has a strong focus on environment, climate change, and resilience. It aims, i.a., at supporting the partner's work in the field of education on environment, including biodiviersity. This is referred to in UNICEF's theory of change with its reference to the triple planetary crisis of climate change, environmental pollution and biodiversity.
