Result
The following results have been achieved during the period 1 September 2023 to 31 October 2024: - 151 Non-technical survey (NTS) reports completed - 58,466 square meters of mine contaminated land cleared and released - 20,141 people (women, girls, boys and men) have improved knowledge of Explosive Ordnance-related risks as well as safe behaviours via direct Explosive Ordnance Risk Education sessions - 34 Explosive Ordnance survivors have received targeted individual assistance - 25 metal detectors, 5 vehicles and office equipment provided to the Mine Action Center (MAC) in Ukraine - 10 MAC staff were trained on NTS techniques
Overall objective: Addressing the humanitarian impact of mines/explosive ordnance on conflict-affected communities in Ukraine and enable early economic recovery. Objective 1: Improved safe access to land for displaced and conflict-affected communities in Ukraine Objective 2: Increased resilience of at-risk populations through improved knowledge of explosive ordnance contamination and safe behaviours Objective 3: Improved victim assistance response to support survivors of explosive ordnance accidents Objective 4: Strengthened capacity of national stakeholders to respond to the risks posed by mines/explosive ordnance Objective 5: Improved participation of women in mine action in Ukraine
