Result
Results listed below are a sample extracted from the annual reporting of the partner and cannot be seen as a representation of the totality of all achievements under each result area. They also represent a total number accumulated over the years of the programme. According the external evaluation conducted of the programme the overall achievement of objectives measures at: Outcome1: 95.1% Outcome2 100% Outcome3 94.8% The three outcomes contributed positively for achieving the overall objectives. a) Functionality, recognition and sustainability of an active performing arts network are bolstered; General assembly meetings: 6 Members added to the network: 4 Initiatives rewarded: 26 b) Young women, children and youth in less privileged communities are further engaged in performing arts and; Performances presented: 861 Field visits conducted: 41 Festivals executed: 29 c) Capacities of performing arts are strengthened, diversified and promoted at various levels. Scholarships given: 870 Students trained: 5983 Throughout the years of implementation the indicators and results shifted a bit with the changes and evolution of the programme. This was mainly as a result of the addition of new donors that adopted and expanded on different elements of implementation like the Swiss Development Cooperation supporting the initiatives component. In addition the last year of implementation was impacted by the global pandemic. So reporting for the year 2020 took on a different nature to allow for the flexibility and adaptation to limitations of the local context and health considerations. 2020 results showed more focus on utilizing social media tools and increased outreach to Palestinians in the Diaspora as a new target audience.
The overall stated objective of PPAN programme is "to contribute towards the development of a democratic and pluralistic society that respects human rights and enhances Palestinian national identity". PPAN's programme has defined three major outcomes that are well linked to a set of verifiable indicators, specific outputs and targets. The three outcomes are: a) Functionality, recognition and sustainability of an active performing arts network are bolstered; b) Young women, children and youth in less privileged communities are further engaged in performing arts and; c) Capacities of performing arts are strengthened, diversified and promoted at various levels.
