UNDP - Development Assistance Group (DAG) Pooled Fund 2016-2018

The intervention is Sweden’s contribution to the ‘‘Phase V Development Partners’ Support to the 2nd Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP II)’’. The intervention targets the Government of Ethiopia’s effort to reduce poverty and improve the impact of Development Assistance through enhanced dialogue between the Government and Development Partners, represented in the Development Assistance Group (DAG), which was established in 2001 and Sweden is an active member of. Through the formal government-donor dialogue structures, the DAG is engaged in discussions and dialogues with the government of Ethiopia on development policies and processes and supporting government actions. These are the expected project outputs: 1: Effective support to the implementation of GTP II and the SDGs provided. 2: Dialogue between DAG and Government of Ethiopia is effective. 3: Aid effectiveness and harmonization targets achieved. This contribution is aimed at financing the first Three years of the program's five year development plan, including the DAG Secretariat. Sweden has previously made decisions and contributed to DAG on a yearly basis, however, to get some continuity and better planning of the program it is this time decided to fund three consecutive years (2016-2018).
