This CoP has been drawn up in accordance with the time period generated by the system, which should be annual. FDC is currently a phasing-out partner. So in 2023 it received no funds. Only in 2024 did it receive small funds for phasing out and the report it will submit on November 30 will cover 2 years, 2023 and 2024. Therefore, only by submitting this report will it be possible to make concluding assessments that include an analysis of the achievement of results in relation to the strategic objectives.
The overarching objective of the project is: Social cohesion in Mozambique is increased by consolidating and strengthening a national platform that seeks to enhance women's participation and influence in peacebuilding, national reconciliation, and politics and promotes gender equality. The Theory of Change is: If women are effectively equipped with mediation, dialogue and peacebuilding skills and tools, and if a national womens movement is consolidated and strengthened, and if a critical mass of politicians and community leaders is convened to support womens inclusion in peacebuilding, national reconciliation and political processes, then, women as a key strategic constituency will meaningfully contribute towards social cohesion in Mozambique. The two expected outcomes of the intervention are: Outcome 1: The womens movement is consolidated and strengthened and a critical mass of politicians, community and religious leaders, members of Parliament, political parties and the civil society is convened to support gender transformative peacebuilding and national reconciliation in Mozambique. Outcome 2: Members of the Womens Movement have an increased awareness of the normative frameworks in place, and deepened understanding, knowledge and practice and are actively involved in peacebuilding and national reconciliation processes. The two outcomes have the following expected outputs: Output 1.1.: The National Womens Platform/Movement is consolidated, functional and engaging with other existing initiatives at all levels (from community to national level); Output 1.2.: The Womens Platform/Movement Agenda is developed and implemented at all levels; Output 1.3.: Women are meaningfully engaged in peacebuilding and reconciliation at the community, district, and national levels. Output 2.1.: Womens awareness and access to information related to peace and reconciliation efforts is increased; Output 2.2.: Women are equipped with conflict prevention, resolution, and management skills Output 2.3.: Increased participation and representation of women in politics, peace building and decision-making institutions.
