Result
Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) as assigned by the Embassy of Sweden, Bangladesh, conducted a study on mapping and needs assessment of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in Cox’s Bazar for both Host and Rohingya population. The assessment reveals that there is a high prevalence of MHPSS problems among the refugees and host communities. However, most of the problems are hidden and remained unnoticed. Sida assesses that KIT has performed the study according to the ToR and finds the conclusions and recommendations useful and a relevant input in preparation for a more long term support within Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, MHPSS, to Rohingya population and host community in Cox's Bazar. The study has been distributed to relevant actors an donors. Follow up meeting with lead consultant was held i Dhaka.
