It is Sidas assessment that SVRI has delivered results in line with the strategy objectives and the agreeed upon goals. SVRIs contribution to the field of work against Violence against Women and Children by supporting, capacitating and connecting researchers primarily from LMICs is clear. In May 2024 SVRI has 10 800 members, 2 501 people has participated in the training "measuring violence against women" and there has been 9 497 downloads of the SVRI Podcast. Goal 1: Building Evidence: An increase in innovations tested by strong research designs for improved violence against women and violence against children response and prevention. SVRI has provided grants for innovative research on VAW and VAC in LMICs. The number of grants has increased somewhat from seven in 2021-2022, to nine a year in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. The grantees gets capacity building support and conduct research that is presented in articles. Key achievements (as repored by SVRI): --All grant winners surveyed believed that their project has made or will make a difference to the evidence base of VAW and VAC research. --87% of grant winners surveyed - who had applied for additional research funding - were able to successfully leverage their receipt of an SVRI grant to acquire additional funding for their study. --92% of surveyed award winners have reported forging relationships with local government agencies, practitioners, universities and other researchers an integral step in the dissemination of VAW and VAC research. SVRI has in accordance to its strategic objectives been leading multiple processes to identify and agree about research priorities and this work is assessed to be important contribution to ensuring effectiveness in the field of VoW. Goal 2: Strengthening Capacity: An increase in LMIC based researchers leading rigorous, impactful, innovative research on violence against women and violence against children in LMICs SVRIs grant-making is combined with capacity building. All SVRI grantees are invited to a pre-research workshop where they get training on methods and ethics of VoW and VaC research and an opportunity to build networks. SVRIs co-developed various learning products with and for the field. These include blogs, publications, and podcasts among others. The specific products and topics are driven by members needs, research priorities defined by the field, outcomes and learning from SVRI Forum, and inputs from the SVRI Leadership Council. The products are shared widely through the SVRI knowledge hub, Update, and social media platforms. SVRI launched an online training platform with four free, self-paced courses. Participation in the courses up to May 2024: Measuring Violence against Children: From Concept to Action 2,501 Pathways to Research Impact course 1,242 Dare to Care: Wellness, self and collective care 1,451 Foundations of Data Equity 31 The SVRI held 18 capacity strengthening workshops and events at the SVRI 2022 Forum. Goal 3: Promoting Partnership and Collaboration: A collaborative and nurturing field where knowledge is shared, and people collaborate with and support each other. The SVRI Forums are the key mechanism for SVRI in enabling partnerships and collaboration. The SVRI Forum 2022 (as previously reported) was held from 19 - 25 September 2022 in Cancun, Mexico and was SVRI's largest forum to date. It gathered 1,021 researchers, practitioners, policy makers, donors, survivors, and more, all with the shared purpose to connect, share and learn. 1181 abstracts received in the Oxford Abstract submission system with 131 abstract reviewers contributing to the build of the scientific programme. 71 % of the delegates came from LMICs. SVRI's commitment to diversity, inclusivity and accessibility was exemplified through a variety of initiatives including the bursary programme, the Young Professionals Programme, the SVRI Awards, and the provision of interpretation and translation services. In the post evaluation it was revealed that 91% of delegates felt supported during the Forum. In the final report SVRI describes how the Forums has been important for building alliances with both policy makes and WROs. SVRI's helpdesk, though which SVRI respond to questions and equestions for information and contacts is also an important activity under this objective. From march 2023 to February 2024 SVRI received more than 2000 requests. SVRIs knowledge platform is also a resource for the whole field of VoW and VoC. Goal 4: Influencing Change. More resources mobilised and used effectively for violence against women and violence against children research and evidence-based practice in LMICs SVRI has continued to advocate for more resources for work against VoW and VoC. They use the SVRI advocacy toolkit to inform donor practices and decisions and engage with funders in different spaces. These resources highlight the inequities, and power imbalances in how research is conceived, conducted, and resourced and allow us to advocate for rebalancing power and shifting resources, in better ways, to LMICs and LMIC-based researchers.
