The goal of the project is to build resilient communities to drive changes by themselves, delivery of integrated multi-sectoral interventions, improve services delivery ecosystems through building the institutional capacity and local economic recovery. The project will support a range of beneficiaries from host communities (40,000), IDPs (20,000) and 20,000 refugees displacing from neighboring countries (Eritrea, Ethiopia and South Sudan). The project will target vulnerable women, girls, boys and men. Women, as the primary caretakers of the household but with the least access to economic opportunities, will be the focus of Oxfam's targeting strategy. The project proposes three outcomes: Outcome 1: Strengthened institutions and governance of natural resources to facilitate inclusive, equitable and sustainable access. Outcome 2: Increased food production through climate smart agriculture, livestock management and entrepreneurship. Outcome 3: Improved conditions for peaceful and inclusive societies with greater participation of women and young people. Capitalizing on the humanitarian- development- peace nexus, the project will fulfil the desired changes to render vulnerable communities become self-reliant and more resilient against falling in recession and dependency on humanitarian aid.
