EPF conducted a series of trainings to its beneficiaries about the financial management of organizations, fundraising, strategy development, and related topics. EPF conducted individual consultations with CSOs, collectively assess their capacities, and formulate development strategies using its Capacity Enhancement Tool (CET). To achieve this, EPF utilized internal expertise and collaborate with partners and external consultants. Six sub-grants were awarded to implementing partners which would yield results in the upcoming reporting period. Through its call for digitization grants, EPF influenced the focus on archiving and digitalization projects, demonstrating a shift in attention and support to areas that were not previously considered important by donors and civil society. EPF has made progress in international advocacy. This was notably reflected in the Concluding Observations released by CESCR, which incorporated a substantial portion of EPFs and EPF-mentored organizations recommendations. These recommendations encompass various areas, from justice system reforms and anti-discriminatory legislation to climate change and access to education for marginalized children. EPF mentored and collaborated with NGOs to write an alternative report for UN ECOSOC on social and economic rights. EPF team visited Geneva to participate in a briefing with CESCR, where they presented the report and discussed the issues concerned. Following EPFs and partners report submission and participation in the CESCR briefing in Geneva, a substantial portion of EPF and EPF-mentored organizations recommendations were incorporated into the Concluding Observations of the CESCR. The recommendations were shared with the EU delegation during the preparatory stage for EU-Armenia human rights dialogue.
The goal of the contribution is to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of the civil society sector in responding to crises and driving impactful change towards a more resilient, sustainable and technologically advanced society. The goal will be achieved through the implementation of the following two objectives: 1. To support the development of CSOs internal capacities and work practices through strategic consultations and mainstream trainings; 2. To support CS sector development effectiveness through strategic retreats, rapid response grants scheme, advocacy and research to contribute to the impact of CSOs on reform.
