2nd Phase UNJP on Elimination of Child, Early& Forced Marriage in Turkey

The objective of the intervention is that all children and women in Turkey are protected from CEFM (Child, Early and Forced Marriages), in a society that rejects CEFM and perceives it as a harmful practice at all levels. The achieve this outcome, the Programme has the following outcomes: Outcome 1: By 2024 children and women at risk of CEFM and survivors have better access to quality protection and response mechanisms in line with international standards. Outcome 2: By 2024 social norms and attitudes favourable towards ending CEFM are increased in targeted areas The programme's two outcomes aim for changes at different levels. While outcome one is focusing mostly on structural changes, increased capacity for duty bearers and CSOs and promotion of accountability to achieve gender equality , the second outcome focuses on behavioural change to address social norms shaping CEFM and empowerment of girls and women.
