UNDP Armenia 2021 Parliamentary Election Support

The intervention is expected to achieve conducting fair, inclusive and transparent elections through strengthening capacities of the Central Election Commission and other relevant institutions engaged into administering and oversight of the electoral process, as well as empowering Armenia citizens, including underrepresented or vulnerable groups of population, notably women, people with disabilities to exercise their electoral rights.

Objectives of the intervention are the followings; 1) Enhancing the inclusion, integrity and transparency of the electoral operations, including smooth voter authentication process and learning lessons for improvement of the electoral process. 2) Enhancing the capacity of the Central Election Commission in conducting public outreach and external communication, specifically targeting participation of women and under-represented groups 3) Ensuring health and safety measures during electoral operations to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 spread.
