1.The use of KIAMIS for rapid farmer registrations in 2024 to close gaps in the 2023 national registration 2.KIAMIS Data in farmers register used to facilitate the National Fertilizer Programme in Q1, 2024. 3.Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) of the of the farmer registration supported by the KIAMIS Project and undertaken by the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock Development (MoA&LD) in Collaboration with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC). 4.Development and launch of the KIAMIS Data Governance Framework to guide increased use of the data with a particular focus on the Counties 5.Setting up of the KIAMIS Steering and Technical Committees at National levels to guide project implementation. 6.Development of the KIAMIS Communications Strategy and preliminary engagements with media on the same to encourage release of related storylines. 7.Commissioning of a study that has just been concluded on gender and youth integration in digitization to identify interventions needed to address gaps. 8.Climate Smart Agriculture indicators identified for incorporation into KIAMIS farmer data collection. 9.KIAMIS Data used in several government sponsored dashboards e.g. National Agricultural Dashboard ( Agricilhttps://kalro.org/kiamis/index.html ) & KilimoStat (https://ddei5-0-ctp.trendmicro.com:443/wis/clicktime/v1/query?url=https%3a%2f%2fstatistics.kilimo.go.ke%2fen%2f&umid=5ADB7460-26F3-4F06-AAAC-AD15DFDE1EAD&auth=b32f7072cb1370b7b119b85843019516260d8fac-8f3a9c0ac431583530bbb4e39ebc770c9866f40e) 10.KIAMIS Data used to develop the first "National Farmer Registration - A comprehensive database for Profiling, Mapping, and Empowering Kenya's Agricultural Community" (the document is Under editorial review, to be disseminated soon). 11.Preliminary discussions held with Agri Tech innovators on their possible controlled access to KIAMIS data within an ecosystem and under data governance. 12.Engagements with several counties held to review and explore their use of KIAMIS data. Some counties such as Homa Bay have analyzed their data to inform investment decisions by the County Government.
Impact level Objective: A well coordinated data and information management system and evidence-based decision-making in the agriculture sector Outcome level Objective: The Kenya Integrated Agriculture Management Information System is scaled nationally. FAO will achieve this provision of a government-owned system that strengthens coordination of the digital ecosystem in agriculture, and enhances policy and management decisions that are based on real-time data and information. Specific Objectives are: to roll out the farmer registration and e-subsidy management modules to all counties; develop additional modules of KIAMIS; build human and institutional capacities for the operationalization, uptake and use of the System; strengthen coordination mechanisms and the linkages (both vertical and horizontal) for the successful implementation of KIAMIS - including the recently launched Digital Transformation Committee and its sub-committees; and identify and address policy gaps that hinder acceleration of digitization in the agriculture sector. Outputs: Output 1. KIAMIS modules enhanced. . Output 2. Digital Solutions for Agriculture (DSA) framework developed. Output 3: Increased capacity for uptake and use of KIAMIS. Output 4: KIAMIS is scaled-up nationally. Output 5: Digital agriculture innovation centers (DAIC) and call centers created.
