Result
The overall objective of the second phase of the project We Belong, implemented by IOM, is to contribute to sustainable migrant integration through a comprehensive intervention that focuses on i) Access to Employment ii) Entrepreneurship Support and iii) Capacity Strengthening of Local Authorities and Civil Society. The project has three outcome goals: 1 Economic integration of migrants is strengthened through more comprehensive and effective multilevel activities towards private sector sensitation and increment of migrants' employablity. Two outputs will contribute to the first outcome goal: 1.1 Local authorities and employers improved perceptions of migrants and awareness of migrant contributions to the local economy results in greater openness to integrate migrants. 1.2 Private Sector enterprises are better able to promote migrant employment due to their access to necessary information and guidance, such as on recruitment procedures, existing best practices and recommendations to address obstacles. 2. Migrants are able to generate income as a result of improved entrepreneurship opportunities. Two outputs will contribute to the second outcome goal: 2.1 Migrants have the knowledge and capacities to start up or strengthen their own businesses. 2.2 Migrants are better integrated in local and regional entrepreneurial environments promoting their business growth. 3. Civil society and local authorities are strengthened to better address integration needs of migrants Three outputs will contribute to the third outcome goal: 3.1 Civil society has the needed knowledge and resources to design relevant integration programs and strategies. 3.2 Venezuelan CSOs, with greater focus on CSOs led by Venezuelan women, have the capacities to voice their issues and advocate effectively on integration needs and priorities in local, national, regional, and global forums. 3.3 Local authorities and communities have the needed knowledge and resources to design and implement relevant integration programs and strategies based on community based planning.
