During the inception phase the project has been concentrated on: 1. the on-boarding process of the four country governments 2. the establishment of the project team 3. the further development and design of methodology, and 4. synergy with similar projects, initiatives and organizations. Examples of some results: •The partner had productive consultations with the governments seeking their insights and understanding their key priorities in relation to the green transition and climate neutrality efforts. These consultations served two primary purposes: first, to assess the relevance of the Green Agenda project in each country and second, to discuss operational matters for the development of such project and policies and how to get the government onboard (official commitment). Additionally, after consulting with the governments and national experts a tailored country versions developed. •Consultations have been conducted with different international organisations and International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) has been chosen as a cooperation partner. •The project is organized into 12 teams in each country, aligning with specific thematic areas (including cross-cutting aspects): 1. Climate 2. Energy 3. Building and renovation 4. Smart mobility 5. Mobilizing industry for a clean and circular economy 6. Zero pollution/toxic-free environment 7. From Farm to fork 8. Preserving and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity. Cross-cutting teams: 1. Finances for transition 2. Digitalization7 3. Just transition and social impacts 4. Research and Innovation •Considering the complexity of the project and the changing environment two more components have been suggested as complements to the current work packages; Specifically, conducting climate neutrality modelling and public perception studies. The modelling study shall provide wider possibilities for decision-makers in reaching climate neutrality by assessing the feasibility of it. As for the public perception study, it should assist countries' governments to adequately understand the public opinions and general attitude on climate neutrality, adding more value to climate neutrality roadmap development.
