Cental Phase II

The contribution is supporting a second phase of the National Integrity Building and Anti-corruption Program (NIBA), implemented by the Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia (CENTAL). The program builds on the results from the previous support to CENTAL's NIBA-program (2020-2023). The total budget of the program amounts to 15 MSEK. The overall aim of the program is to "Contribute to building and sustaining a Liberia where Citizens Act with Transparency and Integrity in All their Dealings". This will be reached by focusing both on increasing transparency and integrity of public sector institutions, but also by increasing citizens' action in upholding integrity and transparency. Additionally, there will be a focus on continuing strengthening the capacity of CENTAL. Three objectives are contributing towards the program goal: 1) To increase transparency and integrity of public sector institutions in Liberia, especially those providing public services; 2) To increase citizens’ actions in upholding integrity and transparency; 3) To increase CENTAL's influence and organizational sustainability in the anti-corruption space. The target groups reached by the contribution are public integrity institutions (LACC, GAC, PPCC, IAA, LEITI and Ministry of Justice), National Integrity Forum (NIF), Judiciary, Legislature, County Leaderships, Women Groups, Youth Groups, Persons with disabilities and special needs, Media and Civil Society and Community based Organizations.
