Result
The proposed programme aims to address the inconsistencies in Ukraine's local self government (LSG) framework and system of multilevel governance while strengthening municipalities public service provision, as well as their direct engagement in the recovery and reconstruction process, in line with the requirements of EU integration. To address urgent needs caused by the war, while simultaneously building long term capacities and consolidating and strengthening the decentralisation process in Ukraine, the project is designed as a two-component programme, covering five thematic areas in which Sweden and SALAR has unique experience and credibility in Ukraine. Component 1: Multilevel governance and policy Component 2: Enhancing the capacity of municipalities Thematic Areas: Education, Administrative Service Provision, Fiscal Decentralisation, Locally Led Recovery and International Municipal Cooperation.
