Result
The overall objective of the programme is to support children and young people to participate in forging peace and development in their communities. The joint programme aims to empower children and young people impacted by crisis to take an active role in their communities by promoting sustainable development, forging peace, social cohesion and transformation. The programme has three main components and 7 outputs contributing to the overall objective as follows: Outcome 1 Equitable access and participation in basic social services and ensured for children's learning and protection Output 1.1. School-aged children and adolescents in the targeted areas, especially the most vulnerable, have access to inclusive and equitable quality education through formal and non-formal educational services in a safe, healthy and gender sensitive environment that promotes learning outcomes. Output 1.2. The most vulnerable children and adolescents have increased access to social services. Outcome 2 - Social cohesion for peaceful communities is strengthened through integrated systems for reintegration of children formerly associated with armed groups Output 2.1. Enhanced social cohesion and peacebuilding skills among adolescents and youth in target communities. Output 2.2. Improved child protection and community resilience through integrated prevention, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), reintegration, and referral mechanisms, with heightened collaboration between communities, security sectors, and service providers. Outcome 3 - Food security and resilience to climate and socio-economic shocks for vulnerable individuals are strengthened Output 3.1. Ecosystems restoration and Cash-for-Work (CfW) Models are enhanced through capacity building and Nature-based Solutions (NbSs) on-ground implementation. Output 3.2. Climate-resilient agriculture and non-agriculture-based livelihood are enhanced through the introduction of water-energy-food ecosystem nexus, climate smart food systems and provision of diversified technical skills addressing the needs of smallholder farmers and young adults. Output 3.3. Fishery production is enhanced through sustainable fishing practices and access to necessary support services.
