Global Resilience Partnership 2024-2027

The contribution is a project support to Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2027 to support GRP's secretariat and activities in accordance with the sent-in programme document, which is based on their strategic plan 2024-2029. Sida has allocated an amount of SEK 60 million from the Strategy for Sweden's global development cooperation in environment, climate and biodiversity 2022-2026. GRP's overall mission is to together with its partners to work to advance climate resilience by identifying and scaling locally-led innovations, sharing and generating knowledge, and shaping resilience policy and investments. GRP's vision is an inclusive world in harmony with nature that is better prepared to cope with shocks, adapt to change, and transform all within planetary boundaries. The GRP strategy for 2024-2029 focuses on climate resilience, that is, the ability of individuals, communities, and systems to live and develop in spite of climate impacts or climate induced shocks and stresses). By working in the three areas of innovation, knowledge and policy, and with the three thematic areas of food, finance, and communities, the GRP works towards four long-term outcomes in accordance with their developed theory of change: IF we mobilise our unique strengths and competencies as a trusted convenor, voice amplifier, scaling enabler, and knowledge broker through identifying and scaling on the ground innovation, generating and sharing knowledge, and shaping policy, THEN we can significantly contribute to four long-term outcomes 1. Transforming food and financial systems; 2. Scaling innovative formal informal collaborations; 3. Increasing inclusive transdisciplinary learning; and, 4. Embedding resilience in the private and financial sectors, THEREBY progressing towards our vision of an inclusive world in harmony with nature, that is better prepared to cope with shocks, adapt to change, and transform all within planetary boundaries.
