Result
Outcomes from the project exists in the focus on institutional strengthening of IBNORCA (medium outcome 1), in strengthening collaboration nationally and internationally with actors in the standardisation process (medium outcome 2) and in building capacity among Bolivian actors in influencing the regulatory framework and implementing standards in the water sector (medium outcome 3). An important outcome in the institutional strengthening of IBNORCA is the membership of ISO (IBNORCA is now a full member of ISO and has also been selected member of the ISO board 2021-2023), the digitalisation strategy and the ongoing effective development of the water technical committee as three key examples of these outcomes.
The expected outcome by the end of the intervention is that IBNORCA will have strengthened its capacities in i) the development and implementation of standardisation processes in the country and ii) the promotion of standards by Bolivian actors in several sectors, including the water and sanitation sector. Improved standardisation processes will contribute to deliver better quality services (and to produce higher quality Products), for the benefit of the Bolivian population.
