In 2023, CSP supported 69 partners from eleven countries. Information providers supported reached estimated audiences of over 18.85m people. This does not include the significant audience reach of broadcast (radio and television services) partners, or the secondary reach of news agency partners, due to a lack of robust data available.
The Closed States Programme will support 80 information provider and/or civic space actor partners in 10 countries in the three coming years (2025-2027). At least 400 individuals will be supported by CSP per year (individuals engaged via information providers, civic space actors and implementing partners) and a minimum of one third of programme budget will be allocated to direct financial support to partners. Content production will supported in at 12 languages and reach 20 million people.
